How do I earn the AI Essentials certificate?
Last updated: 2026-07-16
Complete each of the three AI workflows once on your clinic — save a Clinical Note, run an X-Ray IQ analysis, and record a Consultation Summary. The dashboard banner tracks your progress from 0/3 to 3/3; once all three are done, the clinic owner clicks Claim certificate and the PDF downloads straight away. It is free, issued in the owner’s name, and anyone can verify it online using its credential ID.
What is the AI Essentials certificate?
Its full name is "AI-Powered Dental Practice Essentials", issued by epikdoc AI. It recognises that you run the three core AI workflows — voice clinical notes, X-Ray IQ analysis and consultation summaries — in your own practice, not in a sandbox.
The certificate is a two-page PDF: a portrait page sized for printing and framing at the clinic, and a landscape page sized for sharing — on LinkedIn, your clinic website or WhatsApp. Both carry your name, the issue date, a unique credential ID and a public verification link.
Who is eligible?
- Every clinic can earn it — there is no enrolment, exam or fee.
- Progress is tracked per clinic. A workflow completed by any team member on the clinic counts towards the three.
- Claiming is owner-only. The Claim button and the Settings → Certificate tab appear for the clinic owner, and the certificate is issued in the name of the owner who claims it.
- Demo-clinic activity does not count — the three workflows must be completed on your own clinic.
How to earn it — the three AI workflows
Complete each of these once. The banner at the top of your dashboard shows a chip per workflow and ticks them off as you go:
| Workflow | What counts |
|---|---|
| Clinical Note | Record and save a clinical note for a patient — EpikVoice turns a dictated visit into the 10 structured fields in about a minute. |
| X-Ray IQ Analysis | Upload a patient X-ray and run the X-Ray IQ analysis on it. |
| Consultation Summary | Record an end-of-visit Consultation Summary — the short spoken recap of what happened. |
Claiming and downloading
- When all three chips show a tick, the dashboard banner turns green: "You’ve earned it — claim your certificate".
- As the clinic owner, click Claim certificate. The PDF generates and downloads as AI-Essentials-Certificate.pdf.
- Prefer Settings? Settings → Certificate shows the same three checks and the same claim button.
After claiming, you can re-download anytime — from the banner (Download again) or from Settings → Certificate. The credential ID stays the same no matter how many times you download.
Once claimed, the banner gains a dismiss (×) button. Dismissing it tidies your dashboard — the certificate keeps its permanent home in Settings → Certificate.
Verifying a certificate
Every certificate prints a credential ID and a verification link. Anyone — a patient, a colleague, an association — can open that link without logging in and see the certificate name, the doctor’s name and the issue date. An unknown or revoked ID shows "No valid certificate found", so a certificate cannot be faked by editing the PDF.
Common questions
Can another doctor at my clinic claim it too?
The certificate is claimed once per clinic and carries the name of the owner who claims it. Team members contribute to the progress, but the credential itself is issued to the claiming owner.
I lost the PDF — how do I get it again?
Go to Settings → Certificate and click Download certificate. The same credential ID is embedded every time.
The banner disappeared from my dashboard — where is my certificate?
You (or another owner) most likely dismissed it after claiming. Nothing is lost — open Settings → Certificate to see the credential ID and download the PDF.
