How do I book a patient appointment?

Sidebar → Appointments → + New Appointment. Search the patient (or click + Add new patient inline), pick the treating doctor, date and time slot, set the duration, add notes if needed, optionally override default reminders, then tap Save appointment. The patient receives reminders on the channels you’ve set.
What each field does
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Patient | Searchable by name or phone. Inline + Add new patient if not on file. |
| Doctor | Dropdown of clinic staff. Leave unassigned for walk-ins if you allow that. |
| Date | Calendar widget — past dates are disabled. |
| Time | Slot picker. Taken slots greyed out. |
| Duration | In minutes — defaults to your clinic’s standard slot. |
| Notes | Free-text, visible to the team, not sent to the patient. |
| Custom Reminders | Optional override of your clinic’s default reminder schedule. See "Custom reminders per appointment". |
