How do I mark an appointment completed or no-show?
Last updated: 2026-05-26
Open the appointment from the calendar or list, click the status pill (Scheduled / Ongoing / Completed / No-show / Cancelled), and pick the new status. Completed appointments roll into the day’s revenue and visit counts; no-shows feed your no-show metric so you can act on the trend.
The five statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Scheduled | Default — the appointment is booked and upcoming. |
| Ongoing | You are currently with the patient (optional — useful for multi-doctor clinics). |
| Completed | Visit happened. Counts in dashboard metrics and revenue if billed. |
| No-show | Patient did not arrive. Feeds the no-show rate metric. |
| Cancelled | Booking was cancelled. Stays on the timeline with a strikethrough. |
How to change status
- Open the appointment from the calendar (click the card) or the appointments list.
- Click the status pill at the top of the appointment view.
- Pick the new status from the dropdown.
