How do I create a treatment plan with cost estimate?

Last updated: 2026-05-26

Open the patient → Treatment Plans → + New Plan. Add each procedure as a line (tooth/area, cost, approximate timing), add a patient-friendly note, and Save. Share as PDF via Print, Email or WhatsApp. Mark each line Done as you finish it — the timeline card shows progress automatically (e.g. "3 of 6 visits done").

Create a plan

  1. Open the patient → Treatment Plans → + New Plan.
  2. Add each procedure as a line item: name, tooth/area, cost, approximate timing.
  3. Add a note in plain language for the patient (what to expect, sequence).
  4. Save the plan.

Share with the patient

  • Print — paper copy with your clinic letterhead.
  • Email — sends a PDF attachment.
  • WhatsApp — sends a PDF downloadable from the chat.

Track progress

As you finish each procedure, open the plan and mark the line Done. The progress card on the patient timeline updates ("3 of 6 visits done"). You can also generate per-visit invoices from each line — the cost flows through automatically.

Generate a plan from a voice note

If you dictated the plan during the visit (e.g. "RCT followed by crown on 36, two visits, twelve thousand total"), the AI Insights card after the voice note offers Generate treatment plan with the lines pre-filled. See "AI Insights — prefill the next action".
