How do AI Insights prefill prescriptions, appointments and plans?
Last updated: 2026-05-26
When a voice note saves, an AI Insights card appears alongside it with up to four suggestions: Add prescription, Schedule follow-up, Generate treatment plan, Review X-ray. Each opens the right form pre-filled from your dictation. You confirm before anything is sent or filed.
The four suggestions
| Action | What gets pre-filled |
|---|---|
| Add prescription | Drug, dosage and frequency picked up from your dictation. You review and confirm before printing or sending. |
| Schedule follow-up | Date and reason — e.g. "Suture removal in 7 days" — based on the visit content. |
| Generate treatment plan | A multi-visit plan with procedures and costs from your dictation. You can edit each line. |
| Review X-ray | A prompt to attach or analyse imaging if you mentioned IOPA / OPG / radiograph in the note. |
How insights are decided
The card looks at the structured fields and the original transcript. If you mentioned a drug name + dose, you get a prescription suggestion. If you said "come back in two weeks", you get a follow-up suggestion. If you mentioned "needs RCT then crown", you get a treatment plan. If you said "let’s take an OPG", you get an X-ray prompt.
You can edit before confirming
Every prefill is editable in the form that opens. Wrong drug dosage? Change it before printing. Wrong follow-up date? Pick a different one. Wrong line in the treatment plan? Delete or replace it. The prefill saves you typing, not your judgement.
