EpikVoice — Voice Clinical Notes

How do I record a voice clinical note?

Last updated: 2026-05-26

Open the patient, click + New Clinical Note, choose EpikVoice, tap the red Record button, allow microphone access if prompted, dictate the visit naturally, then tap Stop. The 10 clinical fields populate in 30-60 seconds — review, edit anything that needs correcting, and tap Save Note.

Full walkthrough

  1. Sidebar → Patients → search and click the patient to open their Smart Timeline.
  2. Top right → + New Clinical Note.
  3. Choose EpikVoice (live).
  4. Tap the red Record button. Allow microphone if your browser asks.
  5. Speak through the consultation — complaint, observation, diagnosis, treatment, cost. Use normal sentences, no script.
  6. Tap Stop. A blue "Forming your clinical note" banner appears.
  7. In 30–60 seconds the 10 fields populate and procedure tags appear at the top.
  8. Skim each field. Click into any field to correct.
  9. Tap Save Note. The note appears on the timeline immediately.

What you can do once the note is saved

  • Use AI Insights to create a prescription, appointment, or treatment plan from the note in one tap.
  • Edit the note any time from the timeline.
  • Print the note from the patient profile.
