How do I link a parent and child as family members?

When adding a new patient who shares a contact number with an existing patient, the duplicate-match card lets you Link as family member. The new patient becomes a dependent of the household. Each member keeps their own clinical records; reminders go to the dependent’s phone if they have one, otherwise the head of household’s.
Creating a household
- Start adding the new family member via + Add Patient.
- Type the shared mobile number.
- When the duplicate-match card appears, click Link as family member.
- Choose the head of household from the suggested matches.
- Finish the wizard normally — the new patient saves as a dependent under that household.
How households behave
- Each member has their own clinical notes, appointments, and prescriptions.
- Reminders go to the dependent’s phone if they have one. Otherwise the household head’s phone.
- Invoices can be raised under either the dependent or the billing contact.
- Searching by the shared mobile finds the whole household.
